SUMMER CAMPS: 7 Weeks of summer ‘Ed-Venture’ camps to choose from Monday-Friday, July 9-August 24, 2012
Camper Ages: 5-6 (5 year olds must be registered for fall 2012 Kindergarten), 7-8, 9-12. Internship program for 13-15 year olds (call 607-773-8661 for application).
Hours: half day sessions 9am-12pm and 1-4pm with the option for a full day of fun with our back-to-back camps…just bring a bag lunch! Supervised lunch with exploration of our interactive exhibits 12-1 for campers registered for both morning and afternoon sessions.
- Early drop off (includes Breakfast Club) and late pick-up available. Children registered for early drop off will enjoy a nutritious breakfast with
their camp friends to fuel them up for an energetic day of camp fun! Early drop-off from 8-9am and late pick-up from 4-5:30pm are available for a per session fee of $15 for early and $15 for late.
Camp Fees: All camp fees are due at time of registration including early drop off and late pickup fees. Members $65, non members $70 per one week half day session. One time $10 registration fee per camper for summer 2012 includes a Discovery Kids Summer Camp T-shirt.
2012 THEMES:
Week 1 (July 9-13) As Seen on TV (super heroes, Star Wars, cartoons, reality TV etc.)
Week 2 (July 16-20) Art ala Carte (fine and dramatic arts)
Week 3 (July 23-27) Fairies, Gnomes and Monsters
Week 4 (July 30-August 3) Going for the Gold (Olympics)
Week 5 (August 6-10) Aqua Antics (water science, mermaids, sharks, pirates etc.)
Week 6 (August 13-17) Whiz Kids (science and more)
Week 7 (August 20-24) 2012 Space Odyssey (Star Wars, space science etc.)

The Galumpha Gang

Mark your calendars & plan your vacations around Galumpha Gang. You won’t want to miss out on the wildly amazing children’s performance camp instructed by the internationally acclaimed acrobatic dance company, Galumpha! Two weeks of collaborative choreography, dazzling acrobatics & teamwork will have your child performing center stage. Participants need not know a thing about acrobatics or dance, the fun is in the learning! Children will create a genuine professional performance all their own!
The Galumpha Gang is geared for children 7-13 years of age, with 14-18 year old interns performing & lending a helping hand. Galumpha Gang will take place at Binghamton University’s Performing Arts Building |
