Discovery Center
School Programs

Feeling the cabin fever this winter?  Want to get out of the classroom?  Plan a field trip for your class (Pre K-5th grade) to visit us! Enjoy a day exploring our interactive exhibits and sign up for one of our spectacular school programs.  Our programs give teachers exciting opportunities to make learning come alive as you meet NYS Learning Standards and achieve classroom goals. They are also a great way to kick off or culminate a themed unit in your classroom. From DNA and ocean creatures, to local history and simple machines, we’re certain you’ll find something to bring learning to life for your students.
Don’t miss our two new programs-: In ‘Under the Sea’ you’ll explore live sea creatures and the importance of water on our planet. In “Unraveling the Web of DNA”  we’re sure you’ll get the creeps as you investigate DNA as it pertains to spiders and humans alike!
Can’t make the trip to us?  That’s okay, we can come to you!  Call Nicki Barnard at 773-8661, ext.205 to find out about our Museum To You programs!
