Mother’s Day Tea
Celebrate Mother’s Day enjoying the tea traditions of India!
Sip on the sweet chai tea of India and sample traditional Indian cuisine as we learn about this beautiful country and their customs. Try on the fashions of India, the sari for young girls and paijamas for the boys. Make an Indian paper pom with potpourri and spice, hammer out some fun decorating a wooden box with metal designs and print henna designs on tableware with henna designs. Boys and Girls are welcome as we honor mothers with special time with mom (or your favorite adult) and make gifts that will show her just how special she is today and every day. What could be more special than a birthday party at The Discovery Center? We have party packages to fit all budgets. Packages include invitations, unlimited play in the museum for your guests, one hour in a private party room for happy cake & ice cream, presents and games (includes 15 mins. prior to for set-up and afterward for clean-up).
